Sundas Waheed is the Executive Director of AZAHAR Foundation, where she leads efforts to transform lives through yoga, mindfulness, and education. She oversees AZAHAR’s trauma-informed programs in Cambodia, Rwanda, and the United States, with a focus on fostering peacebuilding, well-being, and economic empowerment.
With extensive experience in vocational training and economic empowerment initiatives, Sundas has developed programs that provide individuals with the skills and opportunities to achieve financial independence. Her work at AZAHAR includes integrating yoga teacher training as a pathway to sustainable livelihoods, ensuring participants not only heal from trauma but also gain the tools to build stable, self-reliant futures.
